Insector Haga

Introduction

Haga is the Japanese Duel Monsters champion at the beginning of the NAS-produced anime and manga series, though he's the first duelist to be defeated in Duelist Kingdom. Haga is one of the more dishonest characters in the series. While aboard the ship en route to Duelist Kingdom, he tosses Yuugi's Exodia cards into the ocean, because he doesn't know how to defeat them. In Battle City he bribes someone to insert a card into Jounouchi's deck by offering him a rare card. When the kid asks for payment, Haga gives him a common card, then sprays him with something and then leaves. Even with his cheating, Haga is defeated by Jounouchi and removed from Battle City.

In the anime, Haga later returns as comic relief in Doma, where he becomes a minion of Dartz and later, in KC Grand Prix where he's defeated by Siegfried. At the start of the AE arc, he and Dinosaur Ryuuzaki attempt to steal the God Cards and Millennium Items and are knocked out by Dark Bakura. Since they are never heard from again, it is up for debate whether or not they survived Dark Bakura's attack.
