In both Traditional and Advanced Format, a card that is considered Unlimited is one that may be included the maximum number of 3 times in a single deck, including the Main Deck, Side Deck and Fusion Deck.
As of March 1st, 2007, the following are the latest cards to become Unlimited from their previous Forbidden/Limited statuses:
- Exiled Force 「ならず者傭兵部隊」 (from Semi-Limited)
- Injection Fairy Lily 「お注射天使リリー」 (from Limited)
- Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys 「ネフティスの鳳凰神」 (from Limited)
- Upstart Goblin 「成金ゴブリン」 (from Semi-Limited)
