Slifer Red

Slifer Red (Osiris Red in the Japanese version) is the lowest of the three dorms at Duel Academy. The reason why Slifer Red is ranked as the lowest of the dorms traces back to Seto Kaiba’s defeat by Yugi Mutou’s Slifer the Sky Dragon during the Battle City arc. The head of the Slifer Red Dorm was previously Professor Lyman Banner. After Banner lost a Shadow Game to Jaden Yuki, his fake body was destroyed but his cat, Pharaoh, catches Banner's spirit in his mouth to stop him from leaving. Currently, the Slifer Dorms is literally run by a cat. In the beginning of the anime, Dr. Crowler expresses a great dislike for the students in this dorm, going as far as to set up stakeouts and rigging duels to find any opportunity to expel Slifer students. The students in Obelisk Blue share his dislike and superiority complex shown through repeated bullying and name calling such as “Slifer Scum” or “Slifer Slacker”. However, as time continues, students from all dorms are flocking to Slifer Red such as Alexis Rhodes, Tyranno Kenzan, Syrus Truesdale and Blair Flannigan. After Jaden Yuki leaves the dorm in season 4 the possibility of the dorm being removed is up for debate as he is the only student left.

Noteworthy Members

• Jaden Yuki (Leaves the Academy in Season 4. It is unknown whether he returns.)
• Syrus Truesdale (Advanced to Ra Yellow in second season then Obelisk Blue briefly in season 3 then returned to Obelisk Blue in sason 4 although he technically still lives in the Slifer Dorm.)
• Chumley Huffington (Left after being hired by Industrial Illusions in Season 1.)
• Chazz Princeton (Former Obelisk Blue left the school after being demoted to Ra. Returned as a member of North Academy but returns to Duel Academy as a Slifer upon losing to Jaden during the school duel. In his second year he left Slifer Red after joining the Society of Light but returns to Slifer Red upon losing to Jaden in episode 88. In season 4 Chazz returns to Obelisk Blue but still wears his North Academy jacket.)

• Alexis Rhodes (After leaving her dorm in episode 60 she leads the resistance effort against the Society of Light until she joins herself after her defeat in Episode 70. She returns to Obelisk Blue after her defeat in Episode 94. It is unknown if she continues to live at the Red dorm.)
• Tyranno Hassleberry (Voluntarily joined the dorm after a defeat to Jaden in Episode 57.)
