Inserting an Image

To insert an image, it must already be uploaded onto our servers. Please check the Special Pages/Images galleries to see which images we already have that may or may not be used elsewhere. Then, when you go to the page that you want to edit and include an image on, select the Picture image on the toolbar (the sixth button from the left). It will automatically insert [[Image:Example.jpg]]. You must change the name and extension to the image that exists on the servers. You do NOT need to enter folder names.

To add attributes to the image add a vertical line (|) and then type any one of the following attributes:

• frame - to create a frame around the picture
• thumb - to make a thumbnail out of the picture, according to the site's preset thumbnail size
• ## px - to make a particularly-sized (in width) thumbnail in pixels. This can only be used in conjunction with the thumb attribute.
• right or left - to align the image to a particular side of the page; by default, it goes underneath whatever text you place it under, NOT aligned with the text.

After any attributes, you can add another vertical line and then type the text that you want to appear as the caption.

Help Searching WikiFic

By default, when you enter a search in the Toolbox to the left, it looks for pages with an exact match of the string that you entered. If it finds one, it will take you directly there, but if it finds close or no matches, it will take you to a search result page instead. To be taken to a search result page instead, or to search specific namespaces (such as Templates, WikiFic project pages, and so on), you should click on the "Search" button instead of hitting "Enter/Return" or clicking "Go."
